White Miso Paste
Our sweet yet savoury miso, fermented for a light umami flavour
Our white miso is a sweet, yet savoury type of rice miso, made by fermenting rice and soybeans together for 6 months. It is most popular in the central parts of Honshu, Japan.
How to cook with white miso
White miso is perfect for light salad dressings, marinades for spring vegetables, fish and white meats and even dessert and baking such as miso ice-cream and adding a deep rich flavour to dark chocolate desserts like brownies.
White miso works particularly well with lighter flavours and spring/summer veggies and salads. We love white niso blended with butter and then basting roast vegetables with it, or mixed with olive oil and lemon juice for a simple savoury dressing.
You don't need a recipe to enjoy our miso! Simply add a spoon of our white miso to butter, roast vegetables likes sweetcorn or carrots, tomatoey pasta, for a flavour booster like no other.
